el-lip-sis [ih-lip-sis]
noun, plural el-lip-ses [ih-lip-seez]

1.   Grammar
     a.   the omission from a sentence or other construction of one or more words that would complete or clarify the construction.
     b.   the omission of one or more items from a construction in order to avoid repeating the identical or equivalent items that are in a preceding or following construction.

2.   Printing
a mark or marks as --, ..., or ***, to indicate an omission of letters or words.

- Depending on their context and placement in a sentence, ellipses can also indicate an unfinished thought, a leading statement, a slight pause, and a nervous or awkward silence.

Because everyone should leave some things out that would normally clarify for others, avoid identical occurrences to happen yet again, pause for a second, and go forth after that awkward silence into the mystery of life - that's the point...

This is the blog of one girl, one country, three months.

I'm spending three months in Phnom Penh, Cambodia working as a communications intern and English, art, and dance teacher at a non-profit organization that offers extensive aftercare to victims of sex trafficking.

As a recent college grad I landed this position, bought myself a plane ticket, flew solo to other side of the world, and this is my story.

Feel free to follow my non-Cambodia blog here.
